Roy Hobbs New Approach to Team Participation in Events.

Tom Giffen discusses the “Invitation” aspect for teams interested in registering to play in Roy Hobbs events in his latest BLOG POST.

World Series 2021  

Invitations to returning teams will be emailed this week, with an updated method of team registration. Invitations to new teams will be sent after returning teams.

A reminder that the updated royhobbs.com landing page should have all the latest bullet- point information on what RH is doing. Please refer to that to get answers to planning questions.

SUNSHINE CLASSIC 2021

The 2021 Sunshine Classic is in the books. A Family Ties division, two 60+ divisions (split between March and April), and 35, 45, 50, 65 and 70+ divisions all participated and Roy Hobbs thanks all who came to play!

BLUE RIDGE SPRING DINGER

The Blue Ridge Spring Dinger event began this week, and results will be posted at royhobbs.com CLICK HERE and available on the Roy Hobbs Baseball Dugout Facebook page throughout each day.

This event, only in its second rendition (2020 was a Covid-19 victim), sold out all three divisions within 72
hours. It is a limited field of six teams per division, but Roy Hobbs will be looking at various options for expansion in future years.

The 60+ Division (April 13,14,15) will feature the Atlanta Astros, Carolina Rockies, Detroit Nationals, Richmond Riverdogs, Wright Field Reds and Pittsburgh.

The 50+ Division (April 16,17,18) will include the Tennessee Dirtbags, Jacksonville Hops, Rockies, Pittsburgh, Braves and Canton Tigers.

The 65+ Division (April 20,21,22) has the NJ Wonderboys, Long Island Yankees, Asheville Sox, Huntsville Havoc, Kenmore Eastern Brewers and Bronx Cardinals.

The nomination process for the Roy Hobbs Hall of Fame class of 2021 will open Thursday, April 15th. Nomination deadline is June 15.
