LAHETTA SHINES IN HIS ‘SKIPPER’ ROLE

Eric Lahetta, manager of the Lake Erie Blue Jays, took the job of athletic director at Bryant & Stratton College in northern Ohio in January 2020.  For 2021, he convinced a familiar face to come out of retirement to coach the Bobcats baseball team. Himself.

Ian Mosher named 2021 ‘Ambassador’

Ian Mosher of Halifax, Nova Scotia, has been selected by the Roy Hobbs Hall of Fame Board of Trustees as the Brian Mullen Ambassador of Baseball for 2021.

Mosher, a member of the Windsor Stars and Border City Brewers for 18 years as their mainstay catcher, will be honored with the Hall of Fame Class of 2021 in November, assuming he is able to travel out of Canada.

He has been selected for his passion of the game, passion for and service to his teammates and his generous service
in the spreading not only of the Roy Hobbs name but also promotion of adult amateur baseball itself.

ROY HOBBS UPDATES

invitations and event set up since there have been some changes.

3.     We will start posting RHWS schedules around October 5, starting with the 35s.  And, no, we are not able to take scheduling requests.

4.     We learned this week that Centurylink Complex will not be available for Roy Hobbs until October 21 as Twins have 90 players in camp for Fall Instructional League and are using all 6 fields at that complex.  And the Red Sox use of JetBlue Stadium through the following week means we will not have a “big” stadium to use until late in Veterans’ week. Here’s hoping MLB gets back to a normal calendar in 2022.

5.     We believe we have resolved how to
handle Week 4 scheduling with the 60s and 70s division.  Click here to read more.

6.     We have experienced frustrating disconnects with the 930-923-3400 Roy Hobbs main phone number.  We have developed a work around with a new phone number. 330.583.4070.  Please use that number or email to teammatesupport@royhobbs.com

7.     Roy Hobbs’ dates and plans for 2022 Spring Dinger are still being
negotiated with the field owners in Asheville.  We hope to be able to confirm and announce in December.
