The prize allocation at the Roy Hobbs World Series is weighted to reflect the relative competition levels.

2024 Competition levels will be AAAA, AAA, AA and A/B as needed.  The allocation of those levels is based on the number of teams in an age division and is determined at the discretion of Roy Hobbs Baseball.

To qualify for the AAAA level awards, a division must have at least 16 teams, whereby there are at least 2 competitive divisions (AAAA & AAA or AA) in the age bracket. In Divisions with fewer than 16 teams, the top award level is AAA; Roy Hobbs reserves the right to adjust division designations as needed.

For 3 competition brackets (AAAA, AAA & AA), a division must have at least 32 teams, for 4 brackets (AAAA, AAA, AA & A), at least 44 teams.

Champions in age groups with12 or fewer teams are designated to AA-level awards.

Additionally, please note that there are firm deadlines to handle the application of the team vouchers as well as MVP merchandise awards.

  • Roy Hobbs Baseball reserves the right to assign the AAAA, AAA & AA vouchers to the NEXT World Series if no decision is made by a team by the January 13, 2025 deadline.
  • Deadline to redeem MVP awards is December 16, 2024.  No awards may be redeemed after that date.

Award allocations in AAAA and AAA divisions include medals for first, second and third places (semifinalists where no third place is designated), a limited-edition Roy Hobbs World Series championship hat and a special edition of the World Series embroidered championship patch.  AA division champions receive medals for first and second places; hats are available for purchase. Divisions added after RHWS begins will receive medals, although both may be shipped after the Series is over in early December.
